4 Generations was photographed at the Pop Studios in West Leederville in 2010 where more than 30 families attended three separate shoots for this exhibit. Many of the Greats weren't strong enough to hold their great grandchildren, but that didn't stop them from expressing a love that is captured throughout this fascinating exhibit.

The Collaboration

"The Collaboration" is a Photography and Illustration exhibition being held at "the hole in the wall gallery" in Fremantle on the 28th of September. There will be work from Australia's best surf photographers and awesome graphic artists, and you will be able to meet and have a yarn to them on the night.

Artists include...Chris Gurney, Mike Maxted, Max Clifford, Russell Ord, Caleb Davenport and Kendra Benson.

Eva Fernandez is rapidly emerging as one of Perth's important photographers. She currently has a solo exhibition on display at the Fremantle Arts Centre, and this series, there once lived...encapsulates the same concerns of nostalgia, memento mori, history and change. More than mere portraits of abandoned dwellings, these images are nostalgic ruminations of a lost era, inhabiting barren spaces and exposing signs of their personal histories as they slowly deteriorate. These images represent a part of the mourning and memorialisation process that reminds us of our own impermanence and mortality.

Dissolved Boundries

Featuring new works by Zoran Petkovic and Joanne Duffy.

These two artists have joined forces to bring you a visual feast of works employing the separate mediums of photography and paint. Whilst both artists are abstract expressionists, they are motivated by very different ideas.

Joanne was brought up in the wheat belt and that landscape has remained with her today. She takes those remembered visions and interprets them with colour and marks.

Zoran fell in love with photography in the 1980’s. Although educated as an engineer, his journey through life has progressed in anything but straight lines. He found and embraced the need for creativity, flexibility, curiosity and free play. This is very evident in his work.

Please join us at 6:00pm on Friday 24th June for drinks and meet the artists.

Exhibition continues until 10th July.

Gallery hours: 10:00am - 4:00pm Wed to Friday, Saturday to Sunday 10:00am to 3:00pm.

Enjoy an inspirational morning session with Christian followed by lunch. Than an afternoon session of shooting with virtually the entire Nikon SLR and lens range. The team from Camera Electronic and Nikon Australia will be on hand for assistance plus you will get the chance to learn some of Christians tricks.
