Welcome to our latest issue of the Fitz-e-News. Every two years, the FotoFreo Festival hits our area and we’re immersed in all things photographic.
This world-class event is a major highlight on photography calendars and we all feel fortunate to have it on our doorstep. I encourage you all to go exploring Fremantle
and Perth over the next month and take advantage of this great opportunity.
I´m just back from a business trip to the USA. You can read more about that in our new feature "Paul’s Piece". Otherwise, things have been hopping here at
Fitzgerald´s Photo Imaging trying to get all the FotoFreo prints out the door. Once the production is finished, we´re looking forward to getting out to some of the
events and exhibitions ourselves. We hope to see you out there.
Have a busy and creative week. Cheers from Paul Maietta and all the team at Fitzgerald Photo Imaging

I’ve just returned from PMA 2010 (Photo Marketing Association International)
held 21-23 February in Anaheim, California. I’m still trying to digest all the great ideas I’ve come away with.
The conference was loaded with terrific speakers and interesting exhibits.
|
|
The networking opportunities were fantastic and I got a lot of ideas about what’s going on in camera stores around the world.
Suffice it to say I’m really excited about some of the improvements I’m going to make at Fitzgeralds.
The educational sessions were brilliant! I featured briefly in a YouTube video taken at the event.
Check out the review
and you’ll be able to tell PMA 2010 was a great experience. I made it back to Perth in time for one of my favourite events of the year, FotoFreo 2010.
We’ve been busy printing for the core exhibitions and the fringe events, too. It’s been absolutely mental getting everything ready but I wouldn’t have it any other way.
I look forward to seeing you out there. I’m taking in as many of the events as I can.
|

 |
We´re always on the lookout for new ways to display your prints and we´ve found something impressive.
The "Ice Mount" is a thick glass mounting available in a variety of different sizes.
If you´re interested in a cutting-edge presentation for your favourite shot, stop into Fitzgerald´s and have a look.

FotoFreo 2010 is being held from 20 March -18 April featuring the work of local and international photographers.
Every two years, FotoFreo exhibitions are held around Fremantle, Perth and even Rottnest Island turning WA into a hotspot for photography enthusiasts.

The event consists of core exhibitions, discussion panels, exhibition floor talks by the photographers, and workshops designed to appeal to professional

Photo of the Year 2008 (USA). Nearly 100 exhibitions by independent photographers will also be on display as part of the popular FotoFreo Fringe Festival 2010.
Fitzgerald Photo Imaging has been heavily involved in printing many of the photos and some of our favourite photographers are going to be exhibiting.
The FotoFreo website has a complete list of all the events and exhibitions.
All we’re thinking about this week is FotoFreo and we have good reason. Fitzgerald Photo Imaging is sponsoring four of the events including:

Give Them More to Love
"There are two basic ways to increase sales: get new business or increase repeat business. We probably don't need to get into the fact that it's far easier and more cost effective to show existing customers how to buy, consume and enjoy more of what you sell than it is to find new customers. You'd rather sell 100 things to 10 people than 100 things to 100 people, right? Makes sense."

25 Ways to Jump Start Your Business
"Looking for ways to make your company more productive, make your team more creative,
and make your operations more efficient? If so, then check out these 25 strategies, which range from thoughts on leadership to advice on how to motivate employees to ways of
reducing IT costs. Each of these ideas has been tested by other small businesses and yielded a significant pay-off. Here's hoping they work just as well at your business."

iPhone is the Place to do Business”
"Nearly every company Sydney marketing consultancy Marketing Mechanics works with is
exploring its iPhone options these days, according to managing director Diane Costa. "Users are requesting useful resources," she says. "
Technology is making people expect more and more from their service providers every day, and companies are launching iPhone apps to stay in the faces of consumers."
