Waking up to cold, dark mornings can be tough. We´re keeping warm this winter by generating a lot of new ideas, making some exciting changes (hint: Fitzies website)
and printing a continual flow of contest entries. Fitzgerald’s is sponsoring prizes; so make sure you have a look at our "Features" for more information.
Have you been to our
Facebook fan page lately? We´re having a blast over there. Regular visitors will know we have a lot of specials and promotions exclusive
to Facebook. It´s also been a great way to provide a rundown of our events and post photos, too. Become a fan for the most up-to-date information from Fitzies.
Speaking of Facebook, stop over to our page ASAP because we’re running a photo competition with Soggybones magazine. Winners will be published in their September PRINT
edition. Send your entries to fitziesfotocomp@soggybones.com by 7 August to get in the judging.
We had a great evening at the AIPP New Members Info Night. About 40 people attended the 6 July event. (You can view photos, courtesy of Nathan Maddigan,
on our Facebook fan page.) After an introduction to the new council members - including President Rebekah Wilson - Tony Hewitt spoke about how he´s
benefitted from being a member in the organisation. Tony recently became the youngest Grand Master at the national APPA Awards
earlier this year so it was great to have his opinion.
Have a busy and creative week. Cheers from Paul Maietta and all the team at Fitzgerald Photo Imaging

One of the most important parts of building a social media presence is to find the right people for your network.
If you´re using social media for business, make sure you´re filling your networks with potential customers, not competitors.
Think about it, other photographers are unlikely to hire you, right?
Twitter makes it easier to find the right people, and be found, by supplying free directories.
Register with Twellow – the Twitter Yellow Pages and WeFollow to find Tweeps
in your target locations and industries. Once you follow them, chances are they’ll follow you back.

10 Things Customers Want on a Website
"So you want your website to make you look big. More power to you. But the business
experts I talked to recently say small is cool with customers, too. Small businesses, they say, have a personality, flavor and sensibility that big businesses can't match.
And when it comes to what you put on your website, they urge: Don't be afraid to tout your smallness. "
